====== What is Innomatic ======

Innomatic is an open source, mature and easy to use **distributed Web applications container** developed by [[http://www.innoteam.it|Innoteam]],** particularly oriented towards administrative and business applications**, featuring multiple frameworks.

It is suitable as an Internet/Intranet development and deployment system. It has a very strong modular architecture and allows very fast deployment of web based solutions.

Innomatic is written in PHP 5 using common design patterns and frameworks like MVC and introducing new ones like the [[Applications and Domains]] one and it is distributed with the new BSD license.

One of the [[Differences from other PHP frameworks|main differences between Innomatic and the other PHP platforms]] is that** Innomatic is a container for multiple applications and domains/sites**, while the majority of other frameworks serves only as a skeleton for a single Web application/site. In fact, already existing (and multiple) frameworks can be ported and used as webapp handlers for [[Web Apps|domain webapps]].

Being especially suitable for administrative applications, **Innomatic also provides a Web [[Desktop]] environment**.
